The Hind-D and -E were very scary to me when I was a US Army cavalry scout, *supposedly* impossible to shoot down and capable of sniping our M113s and Bradleys from 10 km away. Discussion of the movie Red Dawn also took me back down US Army memory lane, as that movie was all but required reading while I was in the cavalry scout school at Ft. Knox, Kentucky in 1984.
