Netflix’s reboot of Lost In Space certainly had its charms—particularly in its first season. Parker Posey plays an appropriately psychopathic gender-swapped Dr. Smith, and the robot thing goes in a completely new, 21st century storytelling dimension. The later seasons get into a full-on dystopian teenage survival thing, but it’s still decent, high-production value science fiction that isn’t Star Wars or Star Trek (but still a reboot).
